How can I install Microsoft Lync 2010 in Windows Server 2008 R2?
In my previous post I posted the features and applications of the Microsoft Lync 2010.In this post I am going to discuss about the installation of the Microsoft Lync 2010 in Windows server 2008 R2.For that first, we are going to see about the basic requirements to install the Lync 2010.
Microsoft Lync 2010 -System Requirements
Following are the minimum system requirements for Microsoft Lync 2010 which must be met before the software package can be installed into the computer and make it run properly.
- Operating System: Windows 2008 Server Edition ( Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter)
- CPU: 2.0 GHz Dual-Core Processor (Minimum), 2.0GHz Quad-Core Processor (Recommended)
- HDD 78GB HDD (10000RPM)
- Memory: 16GB
- Additional Software:
- Windows Installer Version 4.5
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
- Windows PowerShell v2.0
- Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Windows Media Format Runtime
- Silverlight
